Faygo Root Beer, 1953 (Detroit) New March 5
Look out! It's a hold-up! It's Black Bart!
Very famous, rare ad from the upper Middlewest...specifically, Detroit, home of Faygo beverages.
Still funny today, especially when the kinda gay Faygo Kid enters (poor quality clip).

Oh, You Can Call Me Ray (Anheuser-Busch) (Feb 26)
Please don't ask him his name.
The obnoxious, sociable Ray was one of the funniest characters on TV, and his "You can call me Ray" line was often repeated in everyday conversation.

Chock Full O' Nuts Coffee (Feb 5)
Chock Full O' Nuts is that heavenly coffee...
Very famous jingle, but...is it just me, or is this a decidedly weird commercial?

Pepsi Madonna (banned: aired once?)
"Make a Wish"
One of the best Pepsi ads ever, but it aired only once, on March 2, 1989. There was nothing wrong with the ad itself; it was the music video that aired on MTV a few days later that had Pepsi executives in turmoil.
There were calls for Pepsi boycotts and Madonna boycotts...and Pepsi ultimately caved in to the pressure. Wimps!

Coke and the 5th Dimension (Video/Audio Medley) New March 5
It's a great golden day!
Although the 5th Dimension originally sung in this ad ("It's the Real Thing"), I've replaced that audio track with a different–more appealing–Coke jingle they also sung.

High Point Decaf (Feb 5)
I always have time for my favorite instant.

Coke: Have a Good Day
Give 'em a song, pass it along, tell 'em, "have a good day".
Early '70s life placed an accent on feel-good music, harmony with earth, oneness, caring, and luv for every living thing.
Bobby Goldsboro, famous for the unforgivable ballad, Honey (1968), was the sensible choice for singing the jingle in this Coke ad.
